Before We Go Anywhere, We Create Somewhere to Return To.

I call it your Safe Place. It is an inner space that belongs completely to you — somewhere you can settle, reconnect with yourself, and begin exploring what exists beneath the everyday noise of the mind.

The Foundation

What Is an Inner Safe Place?

At the beginning of much of my work, I ask you to create or discover a place inside your mind where you feel comfortable, grounded, and completely yourself.

For one person it might be a forest. For someone else it may be a beach, a cabin, a childhood memory, a mountain, an imaginary room, or somewhere that has never existed in the physical world at all.

There isn't a correct Safe Place.

What matters is that when you arrive there, something inside you recognizes: this is mine.

This is not a test of imagination.

You do not need to produce a perfect picture in your mind. Your Safe Place might be visual, but it might also arrive as a feeling, a memory, a sense of space, a temperature, a sound, or simply the knowing that you are somewhere different.

There Is No Right Answer

Your Safe Place Can Be Almost Anything

I don't choose the place for you. I would rather discover what your own mind naturally creates.

Somewhere in Nature

A beach, forest, desert, lake, garden, mountain, field, waterfall, or somewhere completely imagined.

Somewhere Familiar

A room from childhood, a grandparent's home, a favorite vacation spot, or a place where you remember feeling completely at ease.

Somewhere That Never Existed

Your mind may create a temple, floating island, ancient forest, hidden room, distant planet, or a world that has no obvious connection to ordinary life.

A Feeling Instead of a Place

Some people don't experience a strong location at all. They notice warmth, openness, stillness, expansion, or the simple feeling that they have arrived somewhere safe.

A Place That Changes

Your Safe Place doesn't have to remain identical. It may develop doors, pathways, objects, structures, animals, people, or completely new areas as you work with it.

Something Unexpected

Sometimes the mind offers a place you never would have consciously chosen. I pay attention to that. Unexpected details can become part of the journey.

If You Don't Visualize

You Don't Have to “See” Anything

This is one of the biggest misunderstandings people have about hypnosis and guided inner work. They assume they're supposed to close their eyes and suddenly see a vivid movie.

That isn't necessary.

Some people see clearly. Some see very little. Others don't create mental pictures at all. We work with however your mind naturally communicates.

You may see it. Images, colors, shapes, landscapes or brief flashes.
You may feel it. Temperature, texture, emotion, movement or sensation.
You may hear it. Water, wind, voices, music or sounds within the experience.
You may remember it. A familiar place can simply emerge as a memory.
You may just know. “I'm near water.” “There's a house.” “It's nighttime.” No picture is required.

Inside a Soul Journey

Why I Begin Here

The Safe Place isn't filler before the “real” session begins. It gives us a foundation we can use throughout the experience.

01 · ARRIVE

Step Out of Everyday Thinking

We begin shifting attention away from the outside world and toward your internal experience.

02 · BUILD

Let the Place Become Yours

We notice what is there without trying to force every detail or make the experience look a certain way.

03 · EXPLORE

Journey From a Foundation

From here, the work may move toward a Past Life, an Inner Journey, a guide, a Higher Self experience, or something unexpected.

04 · RETURN

Come Back to What Is Familiar

After deeper exploration, we can return here, reconnect, integrate what happened, and allow the experience to settle.

More Than Relaxation

A Place Can Become an Inner Reference Point

Over time, your Safe Place can become more than something you experience during a session.

It can become a way of recognizing what it feels like when you're less caught in analysis, pressure, expectation, and the constant need to figure everything out.

You begin to learn the difference between the noise of the everyday mind and the quieter internal state that exists underneath it.

The goal isn't to disappear into an imaginary world. It's to create enough internal space that you can hear something other than the loudest thought in your head.

An Important Difference

This Isn't About Escaping Your Life

I don't view the Safe Place as somewhere we go because reality is too difficult.

The purpose is almost the opposite.

It gives you somewhere inside yourself where you can become quieter, more observant, and less reactive before engaging with whatever is actually happening in your life.

We aren't trying to stay there forever. We use it to return to ourselves.

Try It for a Moment

What Would Your Place Be?

You don't even have to close your eyes.

Imagine that for the next few minutes there is somewhere you could go where nobody needs anything from you. You don't have to perform, solve anything, explain yourself, or make a decision.

Where would you want to be?

Don't work too hard to create the answer. Notice what comes first. A place. A memory. A color. A feeling. A landscape. Maybe only the thought of somewhere.

Then ask yourself one more question: What would need to be there for this place to feel completely like mine?

Begin Your Own Journey

You Don't Need to Know Where the Journey Will Go

We begin by creating the foundation. From there, your experience may lead into a Past Life Regression, an Inner Journey, a guide, the Higher Self, a symbolic landscape, or something neither of us expected.
