How Does Past Life Regression Work? What Actually Happens During a Session
Past Life Regression · Hypnosis · Inner Exploration
A lot of people come into Past Life Regression expecting something dramatic to happen the moment they close their eyes. They think they should suddenly see another lifetime playing like a movie in their mind.
Sometimes the experience is vivid. But often it begins much more subtly.
A feeling. A place. A physical sensation. A word. A sense that you're someone else. Or simply the feeling that you somehow know what is happening before you can explain why.
Past Life Regression is less about forcing yourself to see another life and more about learning how to follow what begins to emerge when your attention turns inward.
The Simple Version
We Follow.I guide your attention inward, you tell me what begins to emerge, and we explore it together.
How Does Past Life Regression Work?
I use hypnosis to help you become relaxed, focused, and less caught up in the constant analytical thinking we normally use throughout the day.
You are not unconscious. You are not asleep. And I am not telling you what you're supposed to see.
Instead, I ask questions and help you notice whatever begins appearing internally.
Your answers guide the journey. If you notice a place, we explore the place. If you feel an emotion, we become curious about the emotion. If another identity begins to emerge, we explore that person and their story.
The experience develops one piece at a time.
What Actually Happens
A Past Life Regression Session Step by Step
Every session is different, but the basic process is usually much simpler than people imagine.
We Start With Your Intention
Before hypnosis, we talk about why you're there. Maybe you're curious about past lives. Maybe you're trying to understand a repeating relationship, an emotion, a fear, or a pattern that doesn't make sense to you. You don't need the perfect question. We just need somewhere meaningful to begin.
I Help You Turn Your Attention Inward
Through hypnosis, breathing, relaxation, and focused attention, we gradually reduce how much attention you're giving the outside world and begin noticing what is happening internally.
Something Begins to Emerge
You may notice a landscape, clothing, another body, an emotion, a physical sensation, a voice, a relationship, or simply a sense of knowing that you're somewhere else. We start with whatever you actually have rather than waiting for a perfect mental picture.
We Explore the Story Together
I continue asking questions while you describe what you're experiencing. Your responses determine what we explore next. This is an active dialogue, not a prerecorded meditation.
We Follow What Becomes Important
Sometimes the journey remains clearly within a past-life story. Other times it moves into symbolism, a younger part of yourself, an inner landscape, guidance, or something neither of us expected.
We Bring It Back to Your Life Now
The final question isn't simply, “Who was I?” It's what this experience may help you understand about the person you are today.
This Part Often Surprises People
We Talk Throughout the Entire Journey
Some people imagine hypnosis as lying silently while the hypnotist talks at them.
That's not how I work.
During a Past Life Regression, I'm asking you questions throughout the experience.
Where are you? What do you notice? How old do you feel? Is anyone with you? What happens next? What are you feeling?
The questions help you keep moving into the experience rather than immediately returning to analysis.
Because I'm listening to what you're saying, the session can change direction in real time.
I don't decide where you should go next. I listen to what you're experiencing and help you follow it.
You Don't Have to See Pictures
How Do People Experience Past Life Regression?
One of the biggest misconceptions is that a successful regression means seeing a crystal-clear movie in your mind. People receive inner information in many different ways.
Seeing
Images, places, faces, clothing, landscapes, or flashes of scenes.
Feeling
Emotions, body sensations, temperature, pressure, movement, or a sense of another body.
Hearing
Words, names, sounds, internal dialogue, music, or voices.
Knowing
Information simply feels present even though you can't explain exactly how you know it.
Imagining
The experience may begin with “I don't see it, but if I imagined it, it would be...” and then continue from there.
What If Something Else Appears?
What If I Don't Experience a Past Life?
I don't believe someone has failed simply because a past life doesn't immediately appear.
Sometimes the unconscious mind seems to have another direction that is more relevant first.
This is one of the reasons my work eventually expanded beyond traditional Past Life Regression into what I call a Soul Journey.
We can remain open to whatever meaningful inner experience begins to unfold.
What I've Learned From Guiding Sessions
Past Life Regression Rarely Looks Exactly How People Expect
After guiding many people through this kind of inner work, there are a few things I've noticed again and again.
Subtle Can Become Powerful
A session may begin with almost nothing and gradually build into an experience that feels surprisingly detailed.
Trying Too Hard Gets in the Way
People often do better when they stop trying to manufacture the “right” experience and simply report what they notice.
Visualization Isn't Everything
Some of the deepest experiences I've witnessed came through feeling and knowing rather than vivid imagery.
The Unexpected Often Matters
The journey someone thinks they need isn't always the journey their inner experience seems to give them.
Meaning Matters More Than Proof
I don't need to decide whether every detail is historically literal before we can explore why it feels meaningful.
This Life Is the Point
Whatever happened in another story, the useful question is how the experience changes the way you understand your life now.
Common Questions
Before a Past Life Regression Session
Will I be unconscious?
No. You remain able to hear me, speak, think, respond, and describe your experience throughout the session.
What if I think I'm making it up?
That's extremely common. Rather than stopping the experience to prove where every impression came from, we become curious about it and see where it leads.
What if I can't visualize?
Clear imagery isn't required. You may feel, hear, imagine, sense, or simply know what is happening.
Can I get stuck in hypnosis?
No. You retain awareness and can return your attention to the room if necessary.
Can Past Life Regression work online?
Yes. I offer private one-on-one sessions through Zoom as well as in-person sessions in Las Vegas.
Curious What Your Mind Might Reveal?
You Don't Have to Know Where the Journey Will Go.
Past Life Regression is one doorway into deeper inner exploration. We begin with your intention, turn your attention inward, and follow what naturally starts to emerge.
Private sessions are available in person in Las Vegas or worldwide through Zoom.
