Breath+Imagination= Ascension
Ascension, in a spiritual sense, feels like this unfolding process of rising into higher levels of consciousness. It’s an evolution of the inner self, a shift in vibration. And for me, it’s become so much more than just quieting the mind—it’s about letting go of those dense, heavy energies like fear, anxiety, and anger that seem to cling on. I’ve found the real magic happens when breathwork and active imagination come into play. That’s when things start opening up, and true transformation begins.
I know what it’s like to be searching for healing, purpose, and answers. Wanting to connect with something deeper—connection to spirt and finding purpose —but feeling blocked by everything I was holding onto.
For a long time, I carried emotional baggage—fears, doubts, guilt, shame, anger and limiting beliefs—that kept me stuck in these lower vibrations. It wasn’t until I started letting go, relaxing into the breath, and releasing those old patterns that I noticed a shift. It’s like raising your vibration, and suddenly you begin to tap into these higher planes of consciousness.
In the last 30 days, I’ve really immersed myself in Ram Dass’s teachings, especially his meditations on the breath. At first, it felt simple, but then I started noticing that connecting with my breath and letting go of tension brought me into these deeper states of awareness. It unlocked something within me, like these psychic centers of my spiritual self started to open. The breath became a tool for ascension—helping me shed what no longer serves me and guiding me to higher places within. Today as I write this I have now become able to sense energy in ways that I never thought possible.
Now, It wasn’t some grand revelation overnight. At first, it was just these subtle shifts—moments of stillness, a quiet mind—but with daily practice, things began to change. Breathwork became more than just calming the mind; it became a gateway to ascension. I realized that, like anything, meditation takes practice. Once it became a habit, I could feel myself letting go more fully, releasing lower vibrations, and moving toward a higher state of being.
Letting go has been such a key part of this journey—not just releasing physical tension but freeing myself from all the emotional and mental patterns that kept me stuck. The teachings of the Four Noble Truths remind me of this, especially the Third Noble Truth—how clinging to suffering, whether it’s fear, anxiety, anger, or guilt, only deepens the pain.
It’s interesting as well because Shamanic wisdom speaks of becoming the "hollow bone," this idea that we don’t hold onto energy but let it flow through us. That image has really resonated with me. It feels like by connecting with my breath and tuning in to what’s going on inside, I can start to release what I’ve been holding on to.
Once I began letting go, something really powerful happened. I created space. Space for higher vibrations, space for greater awareness. The breath didn’t just help me release—I could actually start drawing in positive emotions like love, peace, and compassion. And that’s where the ascension part really started to make sense. As I raised my vibration, I began to resonate with higher energies, and that’s when things started aligning in ways I hadn’t expected.
In the work I do with clients, it’s become so clear that when we focus on breathwork, letting go, and using active imagination, people open up in ways they never thought possible. It’s like they can finally experience their own version of ascension, connecting with deeper parts of themselves, raising their vibration, and accessing new levels of consciousness. It’s been amazing to witness.
Meditation, for me, isn’t just about sitting quietly. It’s about becoming aware of my internal state, releasing what no longer serves, and raising my vibration. It’s this beautiful, simple process that’s deeply transformative. The more I practice, the more I feel connected to a higher plane of being, and everything starts aligning with a life that feels truer to who I am.
I’ve put together a free guided meditation based on my experience, something that’s helped me connect with my breath and let go. I hope you enjoy it and find something in it that resonates. For me, the more I practice, the easier it becomes, and I find myself aligning more with the life I was meant to live.
TIPS
Start with the Breath: Focus on your breathing. Inhale deeply through your nose, exhale slowly, and notice the sensation of the air moving in and out. This simple practice grounds you in the present moment.
Let Go of Tension: With each exhale, consciously release any physical or emotional tension you're holding onto. Imagine the stress leaving your body as you breathe out.
Use Active Imagination: Visualize what you want to let go of—whether it’s fear, anxiety, or doubt—as something physical, like smoke or clouds, that dissipates with every breath. Then, imagine drawing in positive energy with each inhale, like peace, love, or light.
Stay Consistent: Meditation is a practice. The more you do it, the easier it gets. Start small with 5-10 minutes a day and build from there. Consistency is key to creating real change.
Release Emotional Patterns: Notice any emotions or mental patterns that keep repeating—fear, guilt, anger—and consciously decide to release them. The more aware you are, the easier it becomes to let them go.
Embrace the "Hollow Bone" Concept: Think of yourself as a hollow bone, allowing energy to flow through you without clinging to it. Don’t hold onto heavy emotions—let them pass through as you breathe.
Raise Your Vibration: Once you've released what no longer serves you, focus on bringing in positive emotions. Imagine filling yourself with love, peace, and compassion as you breathe in.
Trust the Process: Ascension and personal growth take time. Be patient with yourself, and trust that each practice is helping you shift your vibration and connect with higher levels of consciousness.
Practice Daily: Make meditation and breathwork part of your daily routine. Even just a few minutes a day can help you stay grounded, let go, and stay aligned with higher energies.
Be Gentle with Yourself: If thoughts or emotions come up during your practice, don’t force them away. Acknowledge them, then gently return your focus to your breath. This is part of the process of letting go.
