QHHT vs. Soul Journey Method: What's the Difference?
If you're exploring deep hypnosis work, you've likely heard of Dolores Cannon's QHHT method. It's powerful and well-known—and it played a big part in my early development. I love Dolores’s work and have a deep respect for her legacy.
I trained in her method and learned a lot from it, but I found it to be a bit restrictive over time. As I worked with more clients, I began blending in teachings from other pioneers like Brian Weiss, Michael Newton, and Roger Woolger.
Over time, this evolved into what I now call the Soul Journey Method—a flexible, integrative approach to deep soul work.
1. Guiding Philosophy
QHHT (Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique)
Built on Dolores Cannon's belief that the "Subconscious" (also called the Higher Self) holds all knowledge and can instantly heal the body.
The practitioner follows a specific format to bring the client into a past life and then contact the Higher Self.
Soul Journey Method
Based on the idea that the soul holds stories, memories, wounds, and wisdom across time.
Combines past life regression, spiritual hypnosis, Jungian integration, energy release, and symbolic healing.
Healing comes from within—but through multiple inner voices, parts, and guides—not just one “SC.”
2. Session Structure
QHHT
Highly structured with a standardized script.
Sessions must be done in person (per Dolores’ original method).
Typically includes 1 past life and direct dialog with the Higher Self.
Soul Journey
Fluid and personalized.
Sessions can be done in person or online.
Includes past lives, inner child work, dreamscapes, energy attachments, guides, future self, and more.
3. Client Role
QHHT
Client is mostly passive; they receive insight and healing from the Higher Self.
Conscious mind is minimized.
Soul Journey
Client is an active participant.
The conscious mind is integrated rather than bypassed.
Clients interact with parts of themselves, reclaim energy, and make soul promises.
4. Spiritual Scope
QHHT
Focuses mainly on past lives and the Higher Self.
Occasionally involves guides or ETs but not the core focus.
Soul Journey
Includes past lives, interlife exploration, soul retrieval, attachments, spirit guides, animal totems, dream worlds, ancestral healing, and the future self.
5. Practitioner Training
QHHT
Structured online training (Levels 1 to 3).
Focus on script adherence and Dolores’ protocols.
Soul Journey ( coming 2025)
Training includes intuitive guidance, energy work, symbolic interpretation, and real-time client navigation.
Still evolving, focused on practitioner embodiment and adaptive skill.
6. Overall Experience
QHHT
Best for those seeking a deep, structured experience and direct answers from their Higher Self.
Soul Journey
Best for those seeking a transformative journey, symbolic healing, and deeper connection with their soul's path.
