What Are You Looking For? 🧭

We ask a lot of questions in our heads each day. Most of them come without us even noticing.

Why is this happening to me?

When will this end?

What am I supposed to do?

We ask as if the answers live somewhere outside of us.

But the deeper invitation, the one I’ve been sitting with lately, is to ask a different kind of question.

Not just what do I want to know.

But what do I want this answer to give me.

That shift alone can change your entire relationship with life.

I’ve been reading You Are the Answer by Michael J. Tamura lately. Beautiful book. There’s a gentleness to the way he speaks about the soul. Like he’s reminding you of something you already knew but forgot. One of the things that really struck me is the idea that we’re not here to chase answers. We’re here to remember that we are the answer.

But to remember that, we have to start by asking questions that come from the heart, not the mind’s fear.

There’s a story in the book that stuck with me. Someone kept asking, why isn’t my business working? Over and over. And the more he asked it, the more things seemed to fall apart. The question itself was reinforcing the struggle.Until one day, something shifted.

He asked a new question.

What can I do today to bring more prosperity to my family, my clients, and myself.

And from there, everything began to move. Not just on the outside, but in his own energy

The questions we ask shape the life we see.

So I started a little practice. Before the noise of the day begins, before email, before social media, before the world starts tugging at my mind, I sit. I get a little sunlight. Maybe read a page or two from something inspiring.

And then I ask,

What’s the question I need to live into today

What do I want the answer to give me

From there, I check in. Not just mentally, but with all parts of me. I’ve found that clarity rarely comes from the head alone. So I listen inward. I ask each layer of myself what it needs.

Physical

What does my body need to feel safe, energized, and supported today? Sometimes it’s simple. Water. A good stretch. A walk in the sun. But I try to feel beneath the surface too. What would help me feel at home in this body today.

Mental

What’s the state I want to hold in my mind? Clarity. Stillness. Presence. That means less noise. Less distraction. Maybe fewer inputs from technology. Protecting my focus like it’s something sacred. Because it is.

Emotional

How do I want to feel today?  I drop my attention into my heart. I let it expand outward into the room, the people I love, even the landscape around me. It’s not about fixing anything. Just feeling. Connecting. Letting my awareness remind me that I’m not separate from the world I live in.

Spiritual

Who am I willing to be today as a soul? Not just as someone checking off a to-do list. But as someone who remembers. Someone who breathes deeply and pauses often. Someone who knows they are more than just the thoughts in their head or the feelings that come and go.I breathe and remind myself. I am spirit first. Everything else follows

You don’t need a ten-step plan

You just need presence

The right question

A little stillness

And then maybe the courage to wait

To let the answer come from the inside out

So ask yourself gently

What are you really looking for

And more than that

What do you want the answer to give you

Not someday

But today 🙏🏽
